The Mesa Configuration Tool will create the LinuxCNC configuration files for the following:
7i80HD-16, 7i80HD25, 7i80DB-16, 7i80DB25, 7i98 with optionally 7i33TA, 7i37TA, 7i48 daughter cards.
5i25, 6i25, 7i92 with optionally 7i76, 7i77, 7i78 daughter cards.
7i76E, 7i96, 7i96S, 7i97 all in one boards.
7i64, 7i69, 7i70, 7i71, 7i72, 7i73, 7i74, 7i84, 7i87 Smart Serial Cards when used with an all in one board.

Some of the main features of the tool is that it reads in the ini file when you load it so if you made any changes outside the tool they are not lost when you use the tool again. There's a check box to reload the configuration your working on each time you start the tool. It can create a zipped backup of all the files before over writing them.

You can read the Pin Descriptions of a connected board as well as the HMID. The tool can flash the firmware, reload and verify the firmware.

On stepper cards you can use a step generator for the spindle.

Inputs can be inverted and if the card supports inmux you can also select debounce for that input.

In addition to the above you can get info about the CPU, NIC and calculate the Packet Time and Threshold for the NIC.

The user PDF manual is one click away as is all the Mesa PDF manuals that pertain to the tool.

From the tool you can check to see if a newer version has been pushed to Git and optionally download the deb or zip file from the File menu.

When a board is selected the image of the board is loaded and any connection schematics, Daughter card board images are also loaded.

Edit: I forgot to mention if there is a program error instead of crashing a popup window tells you there was a program error and prints the error to the main page so you can copy me on the exact error.

I just finished adding step and direction spindle for servo spindles that take step and direction or stepper driven spindles.

I have added the ability to flash PCI and PCIe cards from the Mesa Configuration Tool and squashed a bug I introduced when adding the stepgen spindle. At this time you can flash a 5i24/6i24 but it will not create a configuration for those cards.

I just added a tab in the Info tab with brief details about most Mesa cards.
