EMC 2 setup was created by forSaleSticker
Hi -

I am new to EMC and need just a little help to get off the ground.
When I load EMC (stepper-gantry) everything looks fine but I can not toggle or turn off the eStop / emergency stop.
Do I need to be connected to the CNC machine before I can turn this off? (I just wanted to do a test run)
Or is something else broken in my configuration?

Thanks

Probably you have missconfigured EStop switch.

So do I have to have the parallel cable connected to untoggle estop?

If I am using the computer in my office (not connected to my CNC) can I turn the estop off?
How do I configure that?

Thanks

If you have external EStop then you can't use software EStop for same manner. ..but you can still use both. Just look for EStop component. And stepconf can't do that. You must manualy edit Hal file.

That config states in the description that it is configured for an external hardware E-Stop. Try another config like Axis Sim.
