hello,

my machine is moving now but only x axis is ok like it is.
x has reference switch left and zero is left, too. moving to right is up to 200 mm, nice :-)

y is a table and has reference switch when table is in front, so i should change direction, but how to do this ?
i do not want to invert in servo amplifier. i think it's better to do this in hal or ini

and now, my worst.
z has refernce swich when it is up. so all coordinates in z are negative. but when z travels down, it counts up.
if i invert my servo amp, so it drives wrong direction to search reference ???

so i need to know:

- how to change search-reference-direction ?
- how to change + and - direction ?

i'm nearly shure to do in the ini-file, but my english is not best, so i hope to get easy help here

thanks

wolfgang :-)

Usually changing the sign of your scale is how you reverse directions when you press the + and - keys to move an axis.

By reference switch do you mean homing switch? In that case you also just change the sign of the search velocity and final velocity's for that axis in your ini file.

No problem your English is fine and much better than my German as I only remember a couple of words (einfahrt and ausfahrt from the signs at McDonalds in Germany). But it has been a long time since I've been there...

new problems homing my axis

last edition i made by step and direction and homing only by swich

now im using servo with +-10V and index-encoder

so i want to home by driving to switch and then back to first index-signal

but nothing works. when i start emc2 always the x position is at 90.123 and if i klick home it moves onyl 0.001 or 0.002 and the the mark is set. the 90.123 still is visible and i know that i can configure in ini home_offset and home, but both are 0.

the axis do not move to any switch. but in my hal i connected the hm2_5i20.0.gpio.068.in to my x-home-sw

how can i thest more ?

or what can i try to do ?

thanks !

im stil learning, stepper did work, now its time to servo...

What happens if you comment out the home position link in HAL (keep your hand on the e-stop!)

I wonder if motor noise is triggering the home input?

I have heard talk of some difficulties with index-homing, which version of EMC2 are you using?
