Can't get boot disk to automaticaly load was created by paul2001
Help!
I copied the EMC2 download and then put it on a CD but when I insert it into my computer is boots to windows anyway.
I am making this computer didicated to EMC2 once it has installed the program. It is running XP right now. After initial install of EMC2 can I delete the windosw operation system completely?

Your bios might not be set to boot from the CD or you didn't burn the CD correctly.
Some good info here.

Yes if you choose to the install will replace the windows that is there now.

You need to burn the disk with" InfraRecorder" and you have to do it a certain way.
I tried 4 tries with my Nero cd burner couldn't do it. Once I followed these instructions exactly it worked.
Burning the ISO to a CD
1. Download and install Infra Recorder, a free and open source image burning program.
2. Insert a blank CD in the drive and select Do nothing or Cancel if an auto-run dialog pops up.
3. Open Infra Recorder, and select the 'Actions' menu, then 'Burn image'.

The one thing that I finally read and did was to burn the cd with Infared and slow down the burn speed then it finally would boot from the cd.

If you have acces to an Linux-KDE-system you also can use K3b to burn your iso to CD.
