I didn't shoot video today unfortunately, I did however get the VFD hooked up. I will be shooting video tomorrow.

So far the 9020 micro works great . I will also be using one for my currently Mach 3 controlled G0619 cnc mill

So, the only reference to Home, Professional and Enterprise I can find is to the Windows version. From the quote above it sounds like the actual hardware is different. Is there any way to tell what hardware version I’m getting, as any version of Windows could have been installed on a refurbished machine.I am publicly announcing that 9020 is the last ever proper PC made by Dell.
Some new ones i have seen are not worth a dime.
For laptops that ended with the E6500 series, anything after that had unacceptable issues, like faking screen resolution !
For what is worth, some laptops after the fake issues ones were much better, but still not worthy of the Dell name.
And for the sake of public announcement, these are all "Enterprise edition" PC's and laptops, so please do not go buy DELL "home" or "Professional" edition hardware and complain it does not work for LinuxCNC, it will not work, they never did.
The difference in electronics quality is very, very big between those tiers.

Dell had those sections on the main page, so did HP, no idea if they still have them.
Usually the square boring ones were enterprise ones, and yes the electronic differs a lot, even the Intel chipsets differ, same model number but the leters after those numbers differ.
Lately, Lenovo has some good and cheap workstations, but still could not get my hands on those to test.
Some members of this forum reported that HP G800 works good, the 65W version, 35W version has latency issues but one got it to work ok just by enabling UEFI boot in BIOS.
Also older HP 8300 work good, have several in use, 5 i think. These HP are all very small boxes.
