Parallel Port Tester

How would ptest.hal be modified to test an parallel port card.
from lspci -v I have:
07:04.0 Communication controller: NetMos Technology PCI 9815 Multi-I/O Controller (rev 01)
Subsystem: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic 2P0S (2 port parallel adaptor)
Flags: medium devsel, IRQ 20
I/O ports at 1110
I/O ports at 1118
I/O ports at 1120
I/O ports at 1128
I/O ports at 1130
I/O ports at 1100
Kernel driver in use: parport_pc

In ptest.hal i tried changing
loadrt hal_parport cfg="0x378 out"
to:
loadrt hal_parport cfg="0x1110 out"
and then
loadrt hal_parport cfg="0x1120 out"
and got no response with the tester with either of those addresses.
The port tester worked fine with the 0x378 address for the on-board port.

That is what you have to do. But you may need to try all of the addresses listed to find the one that works. (My money is on 1128.)

Can this be incorporated into the Axis UI? When we run it and then start Axis the tester disappears.

Not really, any hal pins for the parallel port that are used in your cnc config interfear with their use in the parallel port tester.

Outputs and inputs can be added to Axis screen.

Lower right side has outputs 2 to 7 with respective LED's for monitoring purposed, although the update is slow.
Same can be done with inputs.
Note that you can not control outputs from their buttons near the LED.
