Guys I have another headscratch. I am using qtdragon with manualtoolchange component and first time after boot everything works fine.

manual tool change to tool 0 - probe. hit cycle start the message pops-up request tool x to be inserted hit external button  tool changed (the dialogue does not disappear) machine start (I have to hit ok in the dialogue) .
cycle end, I go to tool tab change to probe tool 0 do the probing, hit cycle start the dialogue pops up but the machine starts immediately the dialogue stays on the screen. It could be a problem with probe in the spindle.
If I look in hal show the manualtoolchange.changed stays on.
Any idea what could be causing it, any steps I am missing?

Quick update: done more research the problem is actually that the tool change dialogue does not close after the external button is pressed.
when I hit the button the pin in halshow goes high so the input is inputing.
Why does the dialogue stay on? When I hit ok in the dialogue the pin .changed stays on forever.

here are three relevant files. The manualtoolchange.changed-button is normally output from the python script but I just tried to link it direct to the button and still no go.

Looks like it's a problem with qtvcp's tool change dialog not honouring the external change button.
