Just ordered one of these to play with. Has anyone else used the 7I73 yet?

I'm planning to have a normal industrial keyboard, but then use the pendant interface to have a X/Z/Y button-select jog wheel, cycle start/cycle stop, E-stop input to the controller, MDI button, etc.

The plan is to run this with my 7I96e and 3 axis of servo drives, plus the spindle, plus a possible 4th axis later.

Yes, I have two of them, both very under-used,

One sits in the apron of my lathe counting encoder pulses from the handwheels and using a couple of IO channels for limit switches

And the one in my Mill cabinet does even less, it counts the pulses from a single MPG.

But the one in the lathe was used to keep the wiring simple, and the one in the Mill I used because it was there.

But: I do have experience with 7i73 and both LCD and matrix keyboard (as I wrote the drivers and HAL components)

Yes, I have built two machine panels using the 7i73. Used it for panel buttons and leds.
