Working with Aspire 12 – Happy to Help If Anyone Needs It was created by yacinedante
Hey folks,
I’ve been using Vectric Aspire 12 recently for my CNC projects and thought I’d bring it up here in case anyone’s been thinking about jumping into it or has questions about setup, workflow, or even just getting access.
It’s been super handy for both 2D and 3D carving, made a noticeable difference in my sign work and custom routing gigs.
If you’re messing around with Aspire or thinking about it, feel free to hit me up. Happy to share what I’ve learned or point you in the right direction.
Cheers!

I had a Vcarve licence 10 years ago. Very unhappy buying crap for big money. Finally shredded the licence and software. No pros, just cons.

Hi,
I've built an CNC router with MESA7I96 controller. I use an Pi5 for running linuxcnc and it works fine. Until this time I used Fusion360 for CAM, but I'm thinking on to try Vectric Pro.
Vectric has any metric post processor for linuxcnc? If yes, which one you use?

Hello, unfortunately I don't have a contribution to your CAM system, but I do have a question about the Raspberry Pi 5 and Linux CNC On the current PC I have problems with the latency, especially in the Ethernet connection to the 7i96s. Unfortunately, this always leads to unexpected stops of the machine. The last PC was no better and I don't want to buy a third one that will cause problems. My hope is that the Raspberry Pi 5 will work easily and without problems, even if it is a bit more expensive than a second-hand PC. Replacement would also be possible at any time. Now to the question What are your experiences with the pi 5 and which version are you using? Which SD card? Any special settings? Thank you very much Greetings Erwin

Whole bunch of answers here and the appropriate place to discuss it.

You'll have to give a description of your setup, what image are you using, what is the latency & ping times.
