HSMworks Alternative? was created by Centurykid
I love HSMworks, its been the only CAM I’ve used for years in Solidworks but I no longer want to deal with Autodesk (plus HSMworks is done.)
Can someone please let me know of another similar CAM thats not Autodesk related and possibly integrates fully in Solidworks? I run 3axis mills making pretty basic one-off protos, Hurco & TRAK posts are needed as well.
Thanks for any tips!

Stupid Autodesk.
However, they've pretty much cornered the CAM market.
They've bought up almost every competitor they ever had.

FreeCAD?

All the "professional" CAM software is Autodesk.

Yeah Autodesk sucks. I have 5+ years of programmed parts and custom posts at work. Now they are killing the software. I have fusion so at least I can use my custom posts if needed. they better figure out the ITAR crap for fusion before they totally kill my HSMworks..

I bought e-cam or simplexcam (both the same with other names) a while ago. Now I have a lifetime licence with no subscription trash.

Some people are lucky and got a lifetime license.
Others are not so lucky.
Though Autodesk's lawyers are currently searching for loopholes they can use to make you pay for a subscription.

its barely in the top3, probably mostly because of the free fusion option, and they bought their way in with the others. fusion360 is basically a clone of mastercam but with tons of bullshit added. The professional cam software is mastercam, 3d systems and siemens, and autodesk barely makes the cut

Real professionals use Mac.
Pseudo-professionals use Windows (generally).
The biggest market is the pseudo-professional software market.

HaHA Pseudo-professional is funny. My paychecks seem to work just fine even though I program with a Windoze PC

Windows is the worst OS for programming IMO.
SDKMan! does not work on Windows
