Hello everyone
I have everything up and running on the linuxcnc debain 2.7.15. Trying to install cambam and it dosen't show me anything from that linux debain version. Can anyone help me with that or link me to another program for generating g code?

You can use Inkscape for 2D/2.5D and plasma, Freecad for 3D, BlenderCAM for 3D and 5 axis i think, never used it properly so not sure, Also PyCAM works on Linux nicely, but it is slow to calculate paths.

Don't know, what does confuse you?
When you read cambams website , its nicely explained and it works out of the box.
well, at least for me on my linuxbox running debian ...
beyond that - cambam has a forum, where you can ask for help

In a terminal:
sudo apt install inkscape freecad
blendercam has to be downloaded from here:
drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B8_m8tGvVyKpYUVTMm14YWxTWEk
extract and double click on blender.
Might have to also install below, if you do not get the CAM screen at start.
sudo apt-get install libgeos-dev
sudo apt-get install python3-dev
sudo apt install inkscape freecad

Thank you so much. The last 2 line started to load int the terminal window.
freecad is telling me it has no installation candidate.
