Tooltable limit solution was created by mlhilligsoe

Hi,
I've read that there is a 56 tool limit in the tooltable due to "technical resons".
I'm looking to build a custom toolchanger with room for all my tools, and the 56 limit is an issue.

What is the cause of this limit, and is there a way to work around it, or a hotfix that could be compiled into LinuxCNC?

V2.8.0 Tool table limit extended to 1000 tools.

Thats great! Problem solved

For future info, where can I find the information that this has been fixed? I tried searching online, but wasn't able to find any information that it had been fixed.
