MESA card (LAN) failing to connect. was created by Askjerry
One of my subscribers is having an issue. Unfortunately, I have not yet tried using the LAN-style MESA card, so I am unsure how to help him.
Jere is the message I got:
"Hi Jerry,I have a Mesa 7i92 card that is plugged into the Ethernet on my computer. It is also connected to a 7i77 daughter card, and I have a 5v power supply going into the 7i92."
Do any of you have some tips that might be helpful?

the 7i77 needs 5v power supply as well, I think

If you had of followed the link It would have taken you to the exact spot about 16 minutes in where I discuss the networking in that 50 minutes. Its a very old video now but still current.@RodW,

OK, that is nice, so i am sorry for bantering, i have every security feature enabled here so for me it starts from the beginning.
If you had of followed the link It would have taken you to the exact spot about 16 minutes in where I discuss the networking in that 50 minutes. Its a very old video now but still current.

Odd, when you click on the forum link it does go to 0:00 but when you open in youtube from the forum page, it goes to the correct location in the video.
Another delightful forum feature.
I might snip it out and make a seperate video when I have a moment of spare time as its the most used reference.

You can do exactly that in youtube studio, there is a feature something like make short videos of your existing videos, i made one once testing it.I might snip it out and make a seperate video when I have a moment of spare time as its the most used reference.

Just wanted to send a quick thank you to Rodw and Jerry. I have managed to go through the first part of the video and the cyber black hole of networking has been cleared up somewhat. Will advise my success or lack therof when I have a chance to sit down and go over things. Wayne
