Hello,
I worked with 4 Axis simultan on Mach 3 and Powermill and want now do 5 Axes.
I Have self made machine with 5 Axis and all axes are mooving  with linuxcnc with the Mesa 7i96s. I added successfully  the 5th axis C to xyza
Now I do not find out, how to configure that i can include the Vismach xyzac Simulation.

Would be wonderfull if you could help me make it running

Thank you

PS: i worked a lot in Powermill with the surface Projection Toolpath and making Surfaces. If I can help, ask me

I have not done this but I think I would start with a 5 axis config from pncconf, editing the axis names as appropropriate if your kinematics is not supported.

I would then make a copy of your desired vismach simulator into its own config folder and edit it to suit your machine dimensions etc.
Then I would cut and paste from the pncconf config into your vismach config so its all connected to your real hardware.

you will need to connect the joint position hal pin to the respective vismach hal pin.
This can be done in either the INI or a hal file.
For an example see
github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/blob/master...ilting/xyzac-trt.ini
# vismach xyzac-trt-gui items
HALCMD = loadusr -W xyzac-trt-gui
HALCMD = net  :table-x      joint.0.pos-fb             xyzac-trt-gui.table-x
HALCMD = net  :saddle-y     joint.1.pos-fb             xyzac-trt-gui.saddle-y
HALCMD = net  :spindle-z    joint.2.pos-fb             xyzac-trt-gui.spindle-z
HALCMD = net  :tilt-a       joint.3.pos-fb             xyzac-trt-gui.tilt-a
HALCMD = net  :rotate-c     joint.4.pos-fb             xyzac-trt-gui.rotate-c

Most important: You have to modify the postprocessor to enable tcp.
With 5 Axis you really want to use tcp.

Now it is running, i made ini and hal with Ki.
When running a toolpath in Vismach simulation it shows perfect but the machine makes strange things.
In fact I have not reaaly a plan what setting i need in Linux for 5 Axis...
Scale is correct

For basic information on your configuration you need to post your .hal and .ini files without that we are just poking around in the dark.
