I can try to help more later, but note there is another user trying to get a Omron MX2
working with a Mesa card and having issues. I suspect I may have to acquire a MX2
to try and get this going.

The 7I76U manual has the RS-485 wiring information (and you must use RS-485 mode with the 7I76U
so you lose on estep/dir output)

I was waiting for your reply, but I hadn't seen it. I tried today, but got this result:
I used MesaFlash version 3.5.16.
Before flashing the firmware 7i92t_7i76u_pktv3.bin, do I need to update the board with PIN_7I76U_PKTV3_34.vhd?

I hope that these new firmware allow to use MPG (quadrature) with pins 16 and 17 (7i76U), because the instruction:

setp hm2_7i92.0.7i76.0.0.encmode0 4

Return:

"./mpg.hal:5: param 'hm2_7i92.0.7i76.0.0.encmode0' is not writable"

You need would update your LinuxCNC to say 2.9.8 to support version 3 of the PktUART

I'll take a look at the MPG issue.
