Looking urgently for a german / european Linux CNC consulting help. was created by Avion
Dear Everyone,
we did some time ago a linux CNC retrofit with mesa board. We got mostly everything to work, probing and multi height sensor does not and I have to say i would love to get into it and spend the time to get QT dragon to work properly, but the time is becoming crucial and the machine should be running.
Hence I would like to ask, if there is someone who would be able to either come hands-hand for a 1-2 days and or work remotely with us. Paid of course.
It is a 1200x1000mm 3axis cnc german spindle, chineese base, completely new electronics from us with Mesa ethernet board.
I have an xyz probe and tool length measure.
I would prefer a european source just for the time difference but since it is rather urgent and we seem to be quite stuck in the process, i would take any help we can get.
Any tip is more then welcome.
(i will search the forum for the Tods and Davids of course, i saw many many cnc advice online and will try to reach out as well. )

I am in Europe and i can speak German, but i am of no use for probing, i still did not build a proper mill. I can figure out everything for sure, but the time it would take is probably much longer than someone with experience.
Also, i never charge for helping here or whatever is initiated from here.

Hey Tommy.. thanks for the offer. I am really looking for someone who is willing to take the deep dive 
. The language is not the issue, the physical locale rather. I was thinking maybe its good if the one could come over.

I am diving int the cnc setup again and need to fix the processes. I am getting errors constantly wheras it should be a normal operation.
I will post a detailled process question later today

No no actually its good. I think I am looking into two avenues. Either i fix it myself but completely redo the setup or i find help and am happy, very happy, to provide some financing for next cnc project to someone. I need the machine basically and the bodged retrofit or rather not completed retrofit is killing hours.
If you or anyone would be open to jump on a video call or something. I think most of you here would probably spot the issue instantly.

I am not much help with probing nor QtDragon, for the rest probably yes.
As for video call, yes of course, now is OK for me as i am going in the shop, i have whatssapp only, but there are some general rules to follow:
-if something is unclear, ask again and again, there are always more than one way to describe something
-when using chat, read all the replies, not just the last one, so scroll before asking or doing anything
-follow instructions strictly
