Hi.
I have got precompiled deb package with Linuxcnc-uspace 2.9.0-pre0 for Ubuntu 18.04.
It works well with Xubuntu 18.04 or Linux Mint 19.3, it's no wonder because that are similar systems.
I can install this package on basic Ubuntu installation with xserver-xorg and openbox only.
All works but Gmoccapy.
The error messages are unclear and completely unusable.
Of course its due of lack some files in system.
All dependiences of Linuxcnc are installed, apt program gives no error messages.

Somebody can tell me, whitch package should I install ?

I wonder what icon it can't show at 48x48?
The line number shown seems to be unhelpful.

I have compilled Linuxcnc to deb package on Xubuntu 18.04 and ALL works icluding Gmoccapy. On Linux Mint 19.3 the same.
This same package was installed on basic Ubuntu 18.04 (no gnome, gtk etc., only xserver-org and openbox), and all work excluding Gmoccapy.
I can run Axis and others, but only Gmoccapy failed at start.
The only possible reason is lack some files, used by Gmoccapy, but not listed in Linuxcnc dependiences.
The compillation was succesfull, the installation was succesfull, but program not works - this is not acceptable.

I added some QT5 dependencies last night. I wonder if the problem is any of those?

There is NO opencv package in Ubuntu Bionic.
You attempt to repair what is not broken.

I don't really _care_ about Ubuntu Bionic.

And I know that these packages are not present on all supported platforms, which is why they are not depends, but recommends.

Where did you obtain the precompiled deb package from, and when?
2.9 is the development branch, and is currently part-way through conversion to Python3. Perhaps this is your problem?

Unfortunately, apt-get install --reinstall gnome-icon-theme is not the solution.
