Monitor for plasma was created by JTknives
I am in search for a monitor for my plasma. I'm also very frustrated with using a keyboard and mouse (tiny touch pad on key board). I am wanting to upgrade to a touch screen but i know there are some frustrations i came across with using them or trying to get them to connect. I was wanting Elo brand as thy seam to be sealed rather well and would handle a shop environment. i had also considered getting the glass zero bezel version. Any of you guys use a touch screen or have advise on what i should get? Thanks

Probably the wrong continent, but it might be worth finding out what they are.

I had an ELO on my mill but the image got blurry so I replaced it with this one.

It's just a normal monitor but works ok for me, the touch part is connected with a USB plug.

I bought a 22” Elo 2201L wife screen touch monitor. It should be delivered tomarow. Is there anything I should know about interfacing this display with Linux?

It ran right out of the box. No calibration or anything, just perfect in every way. I could not be happier and the larger 22” wide screen fits the GUI much better. Thanks guys - JT

Just curious. How usable do you find the 16:9 screen with Gmocappy?
I don't like it myself and rarely run it full screen.

I reckon a display that size and aspect ratio would be a good candidate for having the plasma run tab reworked and put on permanent display on the left hand side.

Maybe I should revisit that as an option...

Cheers, Phill.

I reckon Phill should offer to build a plasma screen for the cool GUI Lcvette et al are working on... Then you have the 16:9 layout already done. Gmoacappy and Axis are really designed with 4:3 monitors in mind.
