HostMot2 Bitfile question was created by Dave3891
I need to change the pin out for a config that I want to setup, I am downloading the Xilinx webkit to do this but I wanted to ask if my idea would work or not first.
I am using the SVST2_8.bit file currently as I need 6 stepgens for a plasma machine I am building.
I looked in the .PIN file to see the pin outs and they are not ideal for the cards I currently have.
I want to place all my stepgens on one of the 5I20 ports so I can have them all on one 7I42TA.
I see that they all have steptable outputs, but I only need the step and direction outputs, so can I map (or omit) the steptable outputs to a different port and have all the stepgens on one port?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Looking at the vhd file
does the NullTag leave the pin as a GPIO?
