Images in linuxCNC was created by Sekai1942
Hi,I'm new in cnc and i just finished my 3 axis cnc.
File Attachment:

This is raw image i made in paint. The build is the same as the real one.
The problem is when i try to open a image like this:
File Attachment:

The image is 401x323 pixel.
I looked at the manual and it says for an object of 2.5x2.5 inch from a 400x400px, the pixel size is 0.00625, because 2.5/400=0.0065.
In my situation is like this. the original dimension done in diptrace and saved as jpg are 31.71 mm x 25.26 mm.
so i did the math and 25.26/323=0.078204334.

and the rezult is this:

Ive seen youtube videos, but i dont understand why does it not show the traces.
Any solution?
Thanks.
P.S. if this is not the right category for this kind of thread, i would like the thread be moved to the right category by a moderator.

You only have a 0.1mm depth, so that probably doesn't show up on screen.
Try creating a file with a 10mm depth and looking at the preview. You probably don't want to machine with that file though.

I don't actually think that image-to-g-code is the appropriate way to make PCBs though. There are much more efficient track isolation methods.

aha i will try.
i will try to export a gerber or dfx file .gbr with diptrace.
Edit: i open a txt file that has the gcode converted with ncplot., but i stil can not make a simple image with text for exemple.
What else can i do?I change almost everything.
Thanks.
