"sudo halcompile --install/home/prv1224ss/linuxcnc/configs/ma-machine_xyza_en_c/caxis.comp"

Should be
"sudo halcompile --install /home/prv1224ss/linuxcnc/configs/ma-machine_xyza_en_c/caxis.comp"
notice the space here ----^
