Orient Spindle question

Ok, it took a bit longer. I also tried to clean up a few things in my config. That said, that could mean that I introduced new problems or missing connection.

Add this to your ini under section [SPINDLE_0]

[SPINDLE_0]
ACCELERATION      = 500    
SPEED_ERROR     = 30
POS_ERROR     = 0.001
OFF_DELAY        = 3
ORIENT_OFF_DELAY = 0.4
ORIENT_TOLERANCE = 1

You can then tune some of these settings to your liking. Let me know if you have any issues.

I found a way to make it working with ladder and when tool prepare pin goes active i connect encoder of spindle with my analog output of he spindle. With simple math i can zero it at every position i like. It keep it blocked position because every deviation from that point gives analog autput to keep the position. Work very well for me.

Looking at the same thing - one thing I had trouble with was finding the documentation of the spindle.n component. There are two 'spindle' components with the same name.  The one you would use with Orient is in the motion docs so see:
