External Offset pins do not appear in Halconfig? was created by MFairleaf

Hello, I’ve written a custom external offsets component but can’t find the pins to connect to. According to the External Offsets document there ought to be axis.2.eoffset.[lots of variations] but I can’t find any pins matching “eoffset” anywhere.

-is the component compiled and installed?
-is the component loaded with loadrt in hal?
-can you see the component loaded using "show hal configuration" from the "machine" menu?

Which version of LinuxCNC are you running?

I think that external offsets were introduced in LinuxCNC 2.8. If you are using an older version of that you won't see them.
