Solution found. Z axis ball screw had some dried oil residue. After cleaning and spraying with WD-40, my Z axis was capable of close to the same feed rate as the X and Y! Thanks Andy. Unfortunately I think some balls in the ball nut are coated with dried oil residue, because a strange sound can be heard when moving the Z axis rapidly. The X and Y axis are much more quiet.
