Hello ,

I made a 5 axis machine with Lcnc that works very well with version 2.9.

Now, I want to go further and put a spindle with automatic tool change.

Can someone give me some information about Lcnc 2.9. Already, is this function supported in this software?

Thanks for your help

You gave no info about anything, it is really hard to help with such questions.
What type?
Hydraulic or pneumatic?
How are the tools arranged?
How many tools?
Etc, etc
If you are trying to find info about the questions above, then here is everything about toolchangers on this forum and website

Yes excuse me, I just wanted to know if Lcnc is able to support an automatic tool change.

I see that there are some extra pins in the .hal file. I have only one parallel port with 5 axes and I think that this evolution will not be possible.

LinuxCNC supports plenty of tool changers, and given the option of writing components for it opens up possibilities vastly.
Parallel port, if it is an onboard one, can be set to 3 modes for use with LinuxCNC,
Mode out = 12 outputs and 5 inputs
Mode in = 4 outputs and 13 inputs
Mode X = 8 outputs and 9 inputs
But since you have 5 axis, only mode out works for you with 2 out and 5 in free.
That can be used for a simple tool changer, still.
Or a rack tool changer that does require only 1 output for air, and maybe 1 input for tool clamped sensor if there is one.
