Problem with the config

Hi everybody.
I've installed recently Linux EMC2 to control my new homemade CNC mill.
After running stepconf i can move smoothly any of the three axes, but when I command to move i.e. 10 cm it moves what it wants (usually two times the distance required)
Any suggestion to solve this issue?
Thanks in advance

Does it move a random distance or always 2x the commanded distance?

If it is always 2x the amount of movement you need to adjust your SCALE for the axis, or run Stepconfig again and make adjustments, for example if it is moving 2x where it should and you have your pulley set as one to one change it to 1 to 2 and test results, also then look for binding, flex and backlash.

OK. It looks like there's an error with the documentation of my controller.
Where it says accuracy 1/16 microsteps it should say 1/8 microstep.
Anyway if I command 10 mm it moves 9.9 mm, so I think a 0.1 mm error should be enough to make any piece... or not?
I've been looking around the stepconf wizard and I can't see any SCALE item, the same for AXIS. Where should be?
Thanks a lot for your help

Go to the X, Y or Z axis page and the last line shows the scale calculated from your entries in the first 5 boxes. If you know the number of steps you need per unit you can just put that in the Motor steps per rev box and put 1's in all the other boxes.
