If your trying to add a file only a limited list of extensions are accepted.

Looks interesting

Can you tell us a bit about how it is connected up to Linuxcnc.

Is it all through keystroke emulation or are there any direct hal connections?

The Mesa 7i73 supports matrix keyboards directly into HAL. It only handles 8x8 matrix size max, though. And there isn't currently much you can do with the data in HAL, but that just needs a HAL component that I am going to start tonight.

If you connect via USB then you can use hal_input to get the keypresses into HAL, where they can be used to jog directly, rather than "keyboard jogging" which isn't as reliable.
