On this desktop the things that need to be turned off , can't.
The laptop I got working has only the most basic bios and I was always afraid of making any changes
but I am glad I did because that's how I cured that spiking problem.
Several of my old PC's are going to get another look to see if I can get them to work with linuxcnc.
As to that fan problem I'm just going to use a 5v wallwart to power it.
