I got an Odroid H2+ and am working on getting it set up, but am unable to boot from my live USB. I've used this same .iso and usb on another computer, but no luck on this guy so far.

I am able to get to the bios and the usb shows up as a boot option, but when I boot from it, all I get is a black screen with a single white underscore in the upper left corner.

I have some TeamGroup Elite DDR4 Ram: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BU77LQW/ref...08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And a Kingston 250 Gb M.2 SSD: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VYG5HQD/ref...08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have seen some posts from people who have gotten the Odroid working and working well, so that is where I'm hoping to get.

As always, any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Yank the SSd out and put it in another PC, install it, put it back on the Odroid.

I don't have a computer that I can put the M.2 into other than the Odroid.

I'll look at getting an adapter to USB.

On a post I made on the Odroid forum it was suggested that the kernel on my distro might be too old. They said below 4.19 might not work on the H2. Does that sound plausible? How do I check the kernel version? And what version of Linuxcnc has the most up to date kernel?

Edit: I got this guy running using the LinuxCNC 2.8.0 Debian 10 Buster PREEMPT-RT ISO in the downloads section. Looks like the kernel may have been the issue. Took a few tries and some funkiness with keeping the usb mounted, but it is installed and running. I also got the ethernet functioning, so now I should be able to get it hooked up to my mesa board.

Onwards and upwards :)

So please confirm you got it installed on odroid H2+ without an internet connection and added the driver later?

I wanted to oder one but unfortunateley it is out of stock on the Hardkernen website.

Is there any other budget mini computer that works well?
