Amd Ryzen 3 3200g APU results

Not sure if this is the proper place for this, but I did extensive searching on this topic before and got no results. So I did my own testing.

Amd Ryzen 3 3200g APU
16gb 3200 Mhz Ram (corsair LPX c16)
B450 I Aorus Pro Wifi Motherboard

Stock cooler, 2tb nvme intel 660p

Ubuntu 21.04
Linux 5.14.2-rt21 SMP PREEMPT_RT

C-states disabled, SMT disabled (no HT anyway), SMP disabled, AMD coolAndQuiet Disabled, 3800Mhz cpu clock (overclock), 3200 Mhz Ram clock


Few other notes. Downclocking cpu and ram seemed to not have any positive effect. Setting the GFX clock to a fixed 1.25 Ghz seemed to both help reduce latency and make spikes less common. Overclocking the CPU slightly actually helped (might experiment more with more aggressive clocks later)

Disabling C-State and Power idle savers Also did not seem to change latency performance in latency tester, but I left them disabled as a 'just-in-case' prevention against spikes.

Latency Results:
around ~13k is worst Jitter  for both Base and Servo. Sometimes if you launch latency test right at system boot, the Servo will get locked into a state that its sub 2k jitter. It wiil stay this way until you close Latency test and relaunch.

I have a Mesa 7i92 card that I will do hardware stepping with so these results are more than good I would think. Not as good as my 3700x.

IF YOU NEED improvement and are thinking of running this cpu, the thing I would try with this cpu is disabling the IGPU and installing a gpu into a pcie slot. However, I don't know why you would use this cpu in that case and not just a Ryzen 3100x or similar. 

This apu works as a really nice SFF pc. I have it in a INWIN case and it's relatively tiny for a fully desktop CPU pc.
