Didn’t find much information on this particular processor on the forum so I just thought I’d leave this out here in case someone is looking to get a mini PC for linuxcnc.

In the attached picture you’ll see I’m running a medium complexity NC at 1000% feed rate override(aprox 10k mm/min feeds) with 3 glxgear and a 4K video running on YouTube. Using a Mesa 7i76e for the I/O and stepgens. Not a single timing issue so far…

Untill lately processors did not mess up latency a lot, but new ones are getting very bad. The new AMD processors will have 50 more power saving features!
But it does good for power usage, especialy when having over 10 of them on 24h/day ! :)

It’s a good thing I went with the celeron instead of the Ryzen 7 in this case! Which AMD processor were you referring to specifically?

New Ryzen 6600 and 6800 series for laptops.
Pretty sure most of that stuff will find it's way in the new 7000 series this year.
