I would like to ask if someone is readily familiar with TP-Link AC600 usb wifi adapter driver install for Linuxcnc.  I went through recently the agonizing install of the rtl8814 driver for Linux Mint with the help of others in that forum.  Essentially the TP-Link isn't worth the time spent getting it to work.  My mistake.  I then changed one of my older computer to Linuxcnc to use with a router table.  Of course the wifi adapter doesn't work any more.  It tried installing the same driver with no success.
If someone thinks they know how to fix this without wasting too much of your time I would be very greatful.  If not I will just go get a different usb wifi adapter.

Many thanks in advance

Moved to "computers and OS's" as it is not related to LinuxCNC.

If you are on Linux Mint, search the Mint forums.
If you are using the official LinuxCNC ISO, search the Debian forums.

Personally, i just buy the older TP-Link stuff, it just works. New ones i do not bother with.

Thanks, if I don't get a response it's not worth the bother.

Some just don't work. And they aren't expensive.

I have had good results buying dongles from Raspberry Pi specialists as that pretty-much guarantees Linux compatibility.
