Hello all,

When I try to run EMC2 on my notebook (Compaq Evo N620c), the following errors are shown:

Looks like the real time system did not load. Did you do a fresh install from a LiveCD?

Also, notebooks are not suited for machine control so if you just want to get the feel of EMC install the sim version.

It seems to be the well known apic/lapic problem
[    0.000000] Local APIC disabled by BIOS -- you can enable it with "lapic"
[    0.000000] APIC: disable apic facility
