Great job. I have to admit that I only understand 10% (maybe) of what you are doing here. I really like the enthusiasm you are showing.

Could LinuxCNC-RIO also be an EtherCAT slave with something like this:

Excited to see the Tang Nano 9K as I recently got one to dabble in the FPGA world. Looking forward to your work on this as I am very new to this area.
