I have been using a TP-Link 5734 USB for a couple years now.  I have not updated anything on either hardware or software in many months.  (It has been off for most of that time.)  Suddenly, Linux no longer can do Internet.  The icon in the upper right corner claims there is WiFi.  It shows many WiFis including my 2.4 GHz network although not the 5 GHz that I was using.  Yes, my phone in the same place shows and uses both frequencies.

The USB WiFi works fine in Windows.  It can see my WiFi.  It just refuses to do DNS lookup.  Suggestions?

Not a LinuxCNC issue, it is a Linux or WiFi issue, so i am moving this to "computers and OS's" section.

What version of Linux are you using?
Does the WiFi connect at all?
If it connects to your access point but does not open any website, that is usually due to having activated the use of PROXY or changed manually the DNS servers.
What does
ip a
in a terminal return?
