Hi,
trying back to LinuxCNC. Found topic about Remora and it looks promising.
Little bit looked at topic for NVEM. But choosing right board isn't clear for me at this moment.

Which one board will be best option - NVEM or EC300.

I got simple chinese router with NCstudio.
I have this router with hybrid stepper drivers . But don't like this software. Missing live preview of loaded g-code :)
Probably have old USB cam that i've used with previous machine for positioning. It was years ago :)

On my first CNC had LInuxCNC and i was happy.

I got also plan to make retractable tool height probe, because i don't heve so much space on my CNC and don't want too loose active area.
So as i suppose i should get at least 4 axis version to program retractable probe ?

Sorry for noob questions :)

Best
BArtek

Sorry Bart, I cannot be of my help, I am not very familiar with the nv boards

On first glance, they appear to be very similar. The ec300 looks like it has more led's and db15 plugs for pendant

the nvem has a nice case and has the pendant pins broken out instead

Both appear to be supported by the new firmware.

The main difference between the NVEM and the EC300/500 besides the number of IO is the IO voltage. 12v vs 24v so you choice might come down to the type of limit switches etc that your machine currently has.

Sorry, and with regard to the number of axes. Just buy the 3 axis version as the Remora firmware will unlock all 6 axes for you.
