Is there a setting somewhere that I can change to have files with a .NC extension show in the open file dialog box without have to keep selecting the All Files drop down?
Not exactly a big issue but seems like there should a setting be somewhere I can't find.
Thanks
M

Ini file in your configuration folder, there is a section there with what can be opened from LinuxCNC, so editing that file to include .nc should be all that is needed.
I think it is Filter section...

That's where I tried putting it but it didn't seem to work. I might have the format of the entry wrong, I'll play around with it again
Thanks

Never occurred to me that it would be case sensitive.... My Mastercam is set to spits everything out in unppercase including the extension.
Many thanks for making me look at it again.

Everything in Linux is case sensitive, or i just can not think of anything that is not right now. :)
Edit:
You can add two lines for upper and lower case each, removes the need to keep track of how it was saved.

Yup, should have known better but I've spent too many years in windows world and when I go to do something quick it bites me every single time.
(still getting my feet wet with Linux)

Linux file names are case sensitive but Windows filenames are case insensitive. Take the learning as you will need it again!
