error halrun was created by nichis

I would like to load classicladder without EMC. I red I have to use the command

halrun

in a terminal, but I receive this error:

insmod: error inserting '/usr/realtime-2.6.32-122-rtai/modules/rtai_hal.ko': -1 Operation not permitted

what's the problem? 'm using ubuntu 10.04 downloaded from this link: dsplabs.cs.upt.ro/~juve/emc/

I have solved in this way:

in /etc/default/grub, change
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
to
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash lapic"
afterwards run "sudo update-grub" and restart.
