5i20,7i77 and 7i73 gpio setup was created by JR1050
I recently ordered a 5i20 and 7i77 and I would like to set up my hal file. Im gonna be setting this up on a Cincinnatti lathe which is very similar to a Hardinge lathe which I have running successfully. So, the idea is to use the hal file and change the signal names and pin assignments. How are the i/o pins numbered on the 7i70 and are they called gpio or do they have another designation?
I also have a 7i37 and would like to define all my signals, any body know how these bits are designated. Thanks ahead of time.

(actually, it could work with a rather special cable and firmware)

That isn't a workable combination. Are you sure that is what you ordered?I recently ordered a 5i20 and 7i77

That depends on the startup mode. halcmd show pin and dmesg are your friends. How are the i/o pins numbered on the 7i70

My mistake,5i25, not 5i20...Im so used to using the 5i20. Im trying to get ahead of the curve and get things set up before it arrives.
