Mesa 7i76 what type of encoder?

I'm looking at buying an encoder now that I have everything else working and am not an electronics wizard.

I understand the differential encoder part but I'm not sure if I want a Line Driver, Open Collector or Push Pull type encoder for the 7i76 encoder hookup.
