				John,
Is there a benefit (or downside) by going with the 7i76E ethernet instead of the 5i25 PCI / 7i76 ? Maybe it's easier or more examples found in setting up the 5i25/7i76...?
Thanks
Paul

				Hi Paul,
I moved your post to a better place where more people will have a chance to find the info. A comparison of PCI vs Ethernet can be found on my web site in the FAQ .

Thanks John, I thought I was loosing it when I didn't see my original post.
Thanks for the FAQ link... And your site makes it nice to determine which products to consider.
Any idea if support for ethernet might last longer than PCI/E in the CNC world?

While LInuxcnc's use of either net connections is very new. Support for PCI and PCIe isn't going away anytime in the foreseeable future. It should stay as long as you can easily buy a motherboard with one of those slots.

Thanks - I don't see PCI going away too soon either, but didn't know if ethernet may offer a (future) benefit that PCI just isn't capable of. I don't know of anything, just wondering. I think I prefer to go with tried-and-true.
