Hello,
I'm beginning work on my Dyna Mechtronics DM3000H lathe. I'd like to use the old stepper drives (for now), but I'm having trouble figuring out one of the pin-outs. Seven of eight are straight-forward (2 PWR, 2 GND, +5VDC, Step, Direction), but the last one is labeled HERE. I would guess it's either an enable pin or common return. It's probably an acronym, but it's a puzzle to me. Attached is the diagram.
Thoughts?

cncbasher - Thanks, I think you're right. The drives work fine with the HERE line NOT connected.
I guess they are enabled until grounded?
Now I need to play around with tuning. I haven't found a thing on the WEB.
