				Hi,
Can two MPG inputs of 7i84 be used for axis encoders? If not which one of remote serial cards is suitable for this?

I don't see why not, though the count-rate might not be fast enough (I think that they are 20kHz rather than the 10Mhz* of the normal encoders), and you can't do index-homing because the smart-serial encoders don't have an index input.
I don't think any smart-serial cards offer "proper" encoders, do you have any spare ports on the main FPGA card (5i25?)
