ohmic probe board was created by crowloy
this has been uploaded to oshpark a rather nice PCB service with purple boards. 3 of these are $18 with free shipping. Can't get better than that. This board is designed in eagle cad from a schematic I found by SignTorch. The board I've designed is untested at the moment but I have 3 of them coming in the mail

To complicated and to sensitive for water tables.
A single small relay at 24V would be much better as it will need 10 to 30mA to trigger, that is enough to avoid any water issues and still sensitive to not need significant pressure on the material. And is fully isolated.
