Mesa 7I96 setup question was created by kbec
I have most of the components I need. I was wondering if I can test just the Mesa card prior to hooking up the stepper drivers to see if it is working. I was hoping to take it one step at a time and do some sort of checkout every time I add a component.
Is that possible?

Yes it is:
-wire the power to Mesa board
-wire a network cable from the PC to Mesa board ( not through a switch or a hub)
-set up the networking on the PC to be able to communicate with the Mesa board
-start pncconf and make a rough config with the settings you plan on having, later you can edit them again or make a new config.
