Not the same thing, but i think i still have some battery powered EEPROM's in the shop from the 90's most probably.

I remember back in the early 90 ( I was a little kid in school )when laser disks were a big deal . You know the one's the size of an LP record . I thick you could fit an entire movie on one. LOL now you can fit multitudes of MP4 movies on a thumb drive .

Barely, i had one then, the movie was on both sides so i had to get up in the middle of the movie and open the door, turn the disc, close the door, press play... exhausting ! :)
