7i77 and single ended MPG-Wheel encod er - read-out problem

I have 4.75V 7i77 output voltage and 4.1V between GND and A/B when A/B are connected to the card.
Basically, the output voltage seems to  be enough, as i have a swinging signal, when not connected to the card:
As soon as I unplug A/B, I have the same meassuring results from yesterday evening.

There are some BC327 transistors, prior to the output.

I already dismounted the transistors and checked them, they are fine.

P.S. maybe, I need "real sinking" inputs without the pullup resitors ? - just a thought...

Ahh if they have PNP transistor outputs, the MPG has sourcing
outputs so would need a stiff pulldown resistor to work with the
7I77 encoder inputs (say 330 Ohm)

They should work directly with the 7I77s MPG inputs
(since those are sinking inputs)

we're getting closer :P

So, I need to change the onboard pullups from 2k to 330Ohm ? :O

Edit: saw your edit, right now. That's what I thought and wanted to express with the sinking- inputs "P.S" in my prior post.

But then, we are at the HAl-Connection point, which I asked yesterday :D

To use the 7I77 encoder input you would need to
add external 330 ohm pull downs to A and B

You could use the 7I77s MPG inputs directly.

Yeah, that's clear now to me.

I'm just not completely sure, how to set up the HAL for this.

Actually, I have:
Code:
net axis-selected-count <= hm2_5i15.0.encoder.03.count

The count and axis selection is (more or less), as PNCconf proposes it.

As I saw in an other thread, I have to add a mux4 and send the signals into it. That's exactly, where I'm not sure, how to do it :D

if you want to use the MPG counter, it would be something like:

hm2_5i25.0.7i77.0.0.enc0.count
