Mesa 7i96S MPG encoder on P1

It should work with any version, I have used from 2021.2 to 2024.something

I tried efinity 2025.1.When I try to open the project seveni96s.xml i get the error:

The previous synthesis run has failed. To avoid potential problems or unreliable data, please run it again.

I click O then I get the message:
The family or device maybe invalid. Click OK to proceed with default family and device. Click Cancel to close project and abort.

Then I click OK the next message:
Encounter internal error. Please get help from support team

What does this all mean ? Do I have to choose a family or device first ?
I`m working on xubuntu 24.04

Do you have any suggestions ?

I'll try with 2025.1 today

Did you apply the 2025.1 patch?
 

Not sure what the issue is, it works for me:

 

Built a 7I96S bitfile, flashed to 7I96S and ran it with LinuxCNC

( This is on Mint 20.3 = Ubuntu 20.04, Efinity 25.1 patched with the July 24,2025 patch )

Thank you very much for trying this. I am absolutly enthusiastic about the support you and your colleagues provide in this forum.
I can imagine that Xubuntu 24.04 is the reason as I had problems with the Qt-Version. I had the same problems on MX-Linux, MX-Linux is based on Debian as Ubuntu does.
I have a Virtualbox W10, I will try on this and will give you feedback.

The release notes say that Ubuntu 24.04 is supported, and the issue you had looks
like a problem with  the XML project file, so I'm not sure whats going on.

Did you apply the latest patch?

If I get a chance, I can post a 7I96S Efinity 2025.1  project file
( I'll change something so the IDE re-writes the file )

Your advice was right. I applied the 2025.1 patch an everything went as expected.
Efinity 2025.1.110.3.16 works fine on ubuntu 24.04.
I can edit the files, change them and flash my 7i96s wit the expected result.

Glad it's working, I just automatically applied the patch.

The patch docs don't mention any project file
incompatibilities but that's what seems to have
been the  issue.
