Purchased a 7i95 board due to the 7i76E being out of stock. I am new to CNC and MESA controllers and I suspect I bit off more than I can chew.
Been watching tutorials online and searching the forums here but it seems the 7i95 is still new to the community or perhaps I made a poor choice of boards.

Is there any information that I can use in layman's terms for this board? I have the CNC Controller box built and now trying to setup the Linuxcnc Pncconf Wizard.

Completed Tasks:
1) CNC Controller Box built
2) Wired Network connection with 10.10.10.10
3) Adjust the Jumper to use 10.10.10.10
3) Ping 10.10.10.10 successfully

Where I'm stuck:
Pncconf Wizard Board selection. I tried the Discovery Option but it gives error and does not find it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Attached you can find a full config for an industrial plasma cutting machine i retrofitted lately, it uses a Mesa 7i95 with Gecko G320 servo drives in step/dir mode and encoder feedback to drives and Mesa boards.
Please be aware that it uses PlasmaC component and as such has a lot of stuff you might not need, so might be better off using JT's tool.

JT,

I tried both from the terminal command and trying the link and I'm getting a 404 error. Do you have a new link?

Yes, the debs are now in the releases to make the size of the repo smaller. Also I just did a major update so the version is 1.2.0 now.

Thanks for the new link. I have the package downloaded now. My next issue is Gdebi is not installed and it will not install via the terminal.

thomas87@HostNameCNC:~$ sudo apt install gdebi
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package gdebi is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package 'gdebi' has no installation candidate

I tried running the
sudo apt-get update then install
Gdebi but still getting same error.

Is the LinuxCNC install blocking this?

Update:
I reinstalled the LinuxCNC linuxcnc-2.8.4-buster
Now I'm able to install the Gdebi via the terminal

I will try the next steps...

Another update.
After running through the Mesa Configurator, It will not see the Mesa board. I can Ping it manually, but linuxcnc will not see it when loading the configuration. I'm assuming 7i95 ethernet was a poor choice for a beginner.

Anyone interested in a side job? I am willing to pay someone to tutor me through this. Rather pay for some phone call sessions and get my issues resolved rather than bang my head for weeks.
