Connect a MKS Servo57c to a Mesa 7i96s was created by MartijnD
Hi,
I am trying to connect a MKS Servo57c ( link ) to a Mesa 7i96s But for some reason I can not get it to run...
Here is the connection details of the Servo57c:
I tried these 2 variants:
In both cases the drive was enabled but not spinning while there where pulses on the DIR signal of the MESA card (could measure ~2 volts)
Thanks

DO NOT connect ANY 7I96S step/dir pin to GND or +5V
you are shorting out the driver chips and may cause damage

As far as I know I did not exceed these limits. 5v to the High output and 0v to the low output
Damn that what you see is what you not get editor....

Your schematics show 7I96S step and dir outputs connected to 5V or ground
This can damage the 7I96S.
For single ended drive, you leave the unused pins unconnected
